  • Description goes hereCysters, we want to figure out how we can recreate and UPGRADE our favorite meals so that we can KEEP on having them while still feeling good. ✨

    .

Here’s how we can change up some of the foods (or lack of) that we might think are helping us:

⛅ Breakfast: Instead of a fruit filled smoothie, opt for something with more protein! Protein can help stabilize blood sugar levels and slow down the absorption of sugar in your bloodstream!

☀️ Lunch: Skipping lunch is NOT on the menu, instead try eating enough protein to keep you full, enough carbs to stay within your Carb Tolerance Range, veggies, and healthy fats!

🌤️ Snack: Opt for decaf green tea and some protein and carbs. This will help keep our stress hormones from spiking while also giving us energy without immediate crashes.

🌙 Dinner: Try recreating your favorite meal but switch out the ingredients that have gluten and dairy! The options are endless! 😋

  • First things first, PCOS is NOT some kind of “made up illness” or “excuse”! 🙅‍♀️

    .

PCOS is more common than we think: 1 in 10 women in the U.S. have PCOS, so just imagine how many worldwide?! It can get so overwhelming figuring this journey out alone, especially when it’s not the easiest thing to talk about out loud. 💕

    .

This is why I launched the Cysterhood with my husband (and our PCOS personal Trainer) Sirak. 🙌

    .

The Cysterhood is our hub with resources to help break down the details of our PCOS so you have a one stop spot where you can learn, have guidance on how to target the root causes of your symptoms, and reach your health goals. ✨

  • We all have those days where we are just irritable, feeling down, fatigued, etc. BUT that does not have to be your forever normal! ✨

    .

Transitioning to a gluten and dairy-free lifestyle can help with our mood and hormones as cutting these foods can help with inflammation and our body’s chronic stress! 💕

    .

Here are a few ideas to help keep our stress levels low when outside stressors arrive💡:

💞Create a self-care routine! Whether that be setting time aside to meditate, journal, or even reading a book for 15 minutes

💞Tea Time - my favorite is drinking rosehip tea when I need to unwind, which studies show can help with reducing stress hormones.

💞 Take CBD oil – studies show that CBD can lower cortisol levels and help with anxiety

  • Did you know that eliminating gluten and dairy could give you an edge on treating the root causes of your PCOS?! 🤔

    .

Each woman with PCOS has a unique set of imbalances and root causes that need to be addressed and so,there is no “one size fits all” approach. It can get a little complicated when we’re initially diagnosed, but you’ve found me and we’re going to break this down together! 👯‍♀️

    .

    In today’s video, we discuss...

✨ A breakdown of the 4 PCOS types, their causes, risks and and their associated symptoms to help you identify which type(s) you may have.

✨ BONUS: We teach YOU how to manage each one naturally, so you can thrive with PCOS!

    .

It’s possible to have more than one, and it’s also possible for our current type to influence another type later on if we don’t take care of it soon enough. The good news is for whichever type(s) you have, you’re in the right place—we can help you reverse it and thrive with PCOS. 💞

    .

Uncontrollable weight gain after working out every day throughout the week? Cravings when it’s not even lunch time yet? Feeling fatigued after a day of doing nothing and making you feel as if you are lazy? Yes, yes and yes. Sometimes it feels like I can’t catch a break! 😩

    .

On this week’s new episode of @a.cyster.and.her.mister 🎙️, Esther Blum, an Integrative Dietitian and High Performance Coach, joins us to discuss how we can approach a whole body approach to PCOS weight loss.💖

  • When I first got diagnosed, I thought eating healthy and signing up for back-to-back kickboxing classes was the key to PCOS weight loss! 😩

    .

We see people reaching their body goals by doing high intensity workouts, putting themselves on diets, leading us to believe that is the only way to lose weight and reach our own goals! Spoiler alert 🚨: PCOS weight gain isn’t a result of not doing enough, it is a result of having metabolic dysfunction.

    .

Cysters, it’s time to change the narrative with PCOS weight loss and understand what is really happening with our bodies! No matter how little you eat or how much you workout, your results may be different from someone else. Your hormones may be all over the place....and that’s NOT your fault! 🙅‍♀️
